Perak, the Land of Grace as it is famously known is the second largest state in Peninsular Malaysia and covers an approximately 21 000 sq km. Perak lies between Kedah up north and Selangor down south. Perak which means silver in Malay acquired its name through its once famed tin ore which was the main economic revenue for the state. Driving throughout the state, one can be easily captivated by scenic views of lush greenery, palm oil and rubber plantations, farmland, paddy fields set amidst green jungle and limestone hills.
