GELANGGANG SENI (CULTURAL CENTRE)
Interested to know about the living heritage and traditional Malay music? Then Gelanggang Seni is the place to be for you. This centre is located on Jalan Mahmud, nearby Perdana Hotel. The performances held here include Wayang Kulit (shadow puppety) shows, Silat (Malay martial arts) performances, Gasing (Top spinning) displays, Wau (Kite flying) and Rebana (Giant Drum). In the evenings, one will be able to enjoy cultural performances featuring traditional Malay music and Wayang Kulit.

ROYAL MUSEUM / ISTANA BATU
Constructed in 1939 during the reign of Sultan Ismail, it was previously used during royal weddings and as a guest house for visiting royalty. Currently, it houses the history of the Kelantan royal family and displays regalia, pictures, silverware, furniture and palace items of former Sultans.

HANDICRAFT VILLAGE & CRAFT MUSEUM
The Craft Museum showcases examples of Kelantanese craftsmanship. If you would like to know more about how these crafts are made, then head on to Handicraft Village to see demonstrations of traditional embroidery, songket weaving, batik printing, silver work and wood carving. You can purchase their work of art at the centre itself.

GUNUNG STONG
Standing at 1,442 metres, this is one of Kelantan’s highest mountains. There is a Gua Ikan (Fish Cave), named after a fish-shaped rock that is believed to hold treasures hidden during the Japanese Occupation

PANTAI CAHAYA BULAN (BEACH OF MOONLIGHT )
Golden sands with a fresh seaside breeze await visitors here. One of the more popular beaches in Kelantan, not only can you go for a refreshing dip or a lazy stroll but you can also witness how batik and songket are made or and purchase them too. WORLD WAR TWO MEMORIAL / BANK KERAPU
This building that was constructed in 1911, Bank Kerapu now showcases documents, pictures and military paraphernalia of the Japanese Occupation from 1941 to 1945.

STATE MOSQUE
Also known as the Al-Muhammadi Mosque or the ‘Brick Mosque’ , it was completed during the reign of Sultan Ismail IV. This mosque acts as the centre for Islamic activities in Kelantan.

ISTANA BALAI BESAR
Built in 1840, this was formerly the residence of previous Sultans. It is now used as a venue for official state functions.

ISTANA JAHAR
To witness fine Kelantanese craftsmanship, Istana Jahar that has been transformed into a museum is a must see venue. Built in 1887, one can now be able to view a variety artifacts that date back a decade.

ISLAMIC MUSEUM
This museum was built to reflect the importance of Islam and to showcase Kelantan as a centre of Islamic learning. Islamic Arts and Crafts, photographs of some of the personal belongings of Prophet Muhammad and Islamic historical sites are some of the items for display here.

STATE MUSEUM & State Art Gallery
The State Museum is located along Jalan Hospital. This museum showcases arts, crafts and musical traditions of Kelantan. Artifacts from local archaeological sites and ceramic displays testify the early trade ties with China.

PADANG MERDEKA
This is a historical landmark where the body of Tok Janggut, one of the country’s most famous nationalists, was hung. In its premises, there is also a World War I memorial for fallen heroes.

THE NENGGIRI RIVER
Eco- adventure lovers will definitely find this place amusing as this is the venue for the annual Nenggiri Challenge and a favorite spot for white water rafting. Cruising down the river, visitors are able to view rainforests, prehistoric caves and aboriginal settlements.

THE KESEDAR INN
At this inn, visitors can choose to visit a goldmine, a deer park, an ethno-botanical garden and aboriginal settlements. For the more adventurous, river rafting and cave explorations will be arranged. There is also a summer camp available at this inn.

KAMPUNG NELAYAN (FISHING VILLAGE)
While visiting Kelantan, one should not miss visiting the quaint fishing villages located about 15km from the capital. Kuala Besar and Kampung Saba
