Pantai Bisikan Bayu
Suitable for surfers and wind surfers, this beach is located in the Pasir Puteh district and is 50km drive south of Kota Bharu, Kelantan’s capital.

To get here, follow the interstate highway south of Kota Bahru for 50km until you reach the town of Pasir Putih.

Kuala Krai-Dabong River Cruise
For the adventure lover, quench your thirst by going for a river cruise that goes through virgin rainforests, riverside communities and jungle wildlife. Kingfishers, eagles and hornbills with various species of monkeys are a common sight.

To get here, take Bus No. 5 which leaves the Kota Bahru terminal at 7.45 every morning for Kuala Krai. At Kuala Krai, take a boat which leaves at 10.00 am for Dabong. It is a 2-hour boat ride. The boat back to Kuala Krai leaves Dabong at 3.15 pm

Handicraft Village and Craft Museum
A walking distance from Istana Balai Besar an Buluh Kubu Bazaar, the museum showcases Kelantanese craftsmanship. The museum is also known as ‘Balai Getam Guri’ and some of the features there are traditional embroidery, songket weaving, batik printing, silver smiting and matting. Tired after sight seeing? Then head on to the ground floor where a restaurant named ‘Balai Sulur Gadung’, serves visitors Kelantan’s famous refreshments.

If you would like to know more about how these crafts are made, then head on to Handicraft Village to see demonstrations of traditional embroidery, songket weaving, batik printing, silver work and wood carving. You can purchase their work of art at the centre itself.

Jalan Temenggong
Situated in the centre of Kota Bahru town, this is a shoppers haven. Jalan Temenggong is lined with colorful craft shops made by local artisans selling gold and silver jewellery, textiles, brassware and wood carvings. Be prepared to bargain and search for the best deals.
