Ulu Muda Eco Park
Home to 109 species of mammals, 174 species of birds, 54 species of reptiles, 42 species of; amphibians and 33 species of fish, this park is designated for nature lovers and educational purposes.

Merbok Forest Reserve
Located in mainland Kedah, Merbok Forest Reserve covers 4,037 ha. of mangroves and 1,000 ha of waterway. Studies show that there a total of 80 bird species that are found here and several species of monkeys e.g. Long-tailed macaque (Macaca Fasicularis), the Dusky (Presbytis Obscura) and the extinct Silvered (P. Cristata) Leaf-Monkeys.

Other than that there are also almost 50 species of finfish and shellfish. Fishing activities e.g. crab trapping, net trapping and shellfish harvesting are also carried out here.

11 km from Sik town, Lata Mengkuang houses a 20 m waterfall. Situated nearby is the Lata Lembu Recreational Forest that is used for family picnics, swimming and summer camps. Titi Hayun
Strategically located at the foot of Gunung Jerai, Titi Hayun got its name from a suspension bridge located in the vicinity. There is also stairs where you can scale to reach the top known as Tangga Kenari Seribu Tahun. Trekking further up, you will bedazzled by a simply astounding waterfall known as Puteri Mandi waterfalls.

Gunung Jerai
An imposing limestone hill, Gunung Jerai is located at 1,200 m above sea level is the leading recreation forest and park. There is a museum located at the peak showcasing the many species of wood found here. On a clear day, visitors will be able to view Perlis, islands of Penang in the south and Langkawi in the north-west.

Botanist find this place amusing as there are simply a wide collection of plants and flowers available for research. Picnickers will also find this place suitable for the whole family as there is a waterfall known as Alor Naga waterfall located nearby.

To get there, , take the Gurun exit on the North-South Expressway . From Gurun town, turn towards Alor Star. Access to Gunung Jerai is two km from town and five from exit. From foot of Mount Jerai to Peranginan Gunung Jerai resort. Vans drive the 13 km route to the resort.

Porcupine Cave (Gua Landak)
Named as such due to the sharp-edged rocks and boulders scattered about with a variety of stalactite and stalagmite formations.

Langkawi Crocodile Farm

Underwater World Langkawi

Pantai Pasir Hitam (Black Sand Beach)
Located 19km from Kuah, it is named as such as visitors can view black pigmentation in the sand believed to be tin or tin oxide. The black sand glittering in the sun provides an unusual sight for visitors.

Balai Besar
Built in 1735 by the 19th Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Muhammad Jiwa Zainal Adilin Muazzam Shah, this building is located at the back of the Kota Setar Palace complex. It is currently used to hold royal weddings, official ceremonies and other royal events.

Kota Kuala Kedah

Galeria Perdana
An unique gallery that showcases various awards, souvenirs and gifts that was received by both Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s former prime minister and his wife, Tun Siti Hasmah. There is a large collection of gifts made from wood, leather, crystal and lacquer, textiles, games, weaponry, ceramics, plaques, Islamic art, silver, copper, brass and pewter. TBuilt on the top of a hill, Ibrahim Hussein Museum & Cultural Foundation is dedicated to Malaysia’s most prominent artists, Dato’ Paduka Ibrahim Hussein. Mahsuri’s Mausoleum
This mausoleum houses Mahsuri the much famed tomb of Mahsuri which according to legend cursed Langkawi for 7 generations. There is a Mek mulung traditional theater auditorium for visitors to enjoy cultural performances and Mahsuri’s well is also located in the vicinity.

Padang Matsirat Village
With vast green paddy fields, this village is famed for burnt rice grains that are still visible here after being burnt by villagers in 1821.
