Malaysia culture is represented by multiple ethnic groups that exist as of September 2008, is estimated to be 27,730,000, which makes it the 43rd most populated country in the world. The main ethnic groups are the Malays as well as large populations of Chinese, Indians, Kadazan (Sabah), Iban (Sarawak) and small minorities of Perananakan (Malacca & Penang), Chitty (Malaca), Kristang (Malacca) and various Indigenous people. The ethnicities have the freedom to retain their religions, customs and way of life. Despite the ethnic differences in modern time there are commonalities culturally speaking.
